Susie Weaver brings patients well over a decade’s worth of nursing experience. Susie spent 7 years as an RN in the neonatal ICU caring for the most vulnerable of patients, newborn infants. It was during this early part of Susie’s medical career that she passionately adopted the philosophy of caring for her patients as if they were her own family members, a theme consistent with Regional Brain and Spine’s culture.
As an RN, Susie had the opportunity to be a part of several medical mission trips to Jamaica. Through this experience, she realized by furthering her medical education and training, she would be able to offer even more care for her patients. She then attained her Nurse Practitioner degree in 2012.
Susie joined Regional Brain and Spine in 2017. Prior to joining our practice, she had nurse practitioner experience in a neurosurgery practice as well as in an emergency department.
Susie is a local native to the Cape Girardeau area and comes from a family with 3 sisters and 1 brother. She is married to her husband Mark and they have 2 children. When away from work, Susie enjoys hiking, walking, running or in other words being outdoors. She also has a passion for singing in the church choir.
